Have you ever wanted to be super muscular and strong? Have you ever wanted to show off your strength by tearing something in half? Well, now you can! I will teach you how to appear as though you are very strong. In just minutes you will be able to tear a phone book in half, with just your bare, manly hands!
First, you will need to obtain a phone book, preferably a two inched one, but a four inched phone book will work too. Grab the book with one hand on each side and your thumbs and fingers on opposing sides. From here you will need to apply inward force and down force, which will cause the pages in the middle of the phone book to make a "V" type shape. Continue to work the phonebook until you see a prominent V appear and little bubbles of space start to form between the pages. Once you have achieved this stage, brace the opposite end of the phonebook against your hip while pulling it inward firmly with your pectoral muscle. With the other hand that is not pulling the phone book inwards, push with downward rotational force against the "V" that was made. If this is done correctly - you will have just demonstrated a super-human feat of strength!
How exactly did this happen you might say; I can barely open a jar of pickles!? Well this is more of a physics trick than actual strength. Anyone would agree one page of printer paper is easily tearable. However, a whole ream of paper is nearly impossible. The trick lies in making a "V" with the paper. When this happens the pages separate and it is like tearing individual pages instead of all of them at the same time. Also friction, when the papers are not separated there is a lot of friction holding them together. Separating them just right and applying the correct amount of rotational pressure will ensure you looking like a hulkian human!
